Install in 3 steps

Download & unzip
Click "Download Beta" above. Unzip the folder anywhere on your computer.

Open Chrome Extensions
Go to chrome://extensions - enable Developer Mode (toggle top-right).

Load Unpacked
Click "Load Unpacked" and select the unzipped signlytic-extension folder. The Signlytic icon appears in your toolbar.

Caption Detection

Automatically detects live captions from YouTube, BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Amazon Prime and more. Falls back to microphone when captions are off.

Real-Time Translation

Converts English captions to BSL glosses using the same translation engine powering the Signlytic AI application.

Signing Overlay

Floating panel with 2D skeleton or 3D avatar signing each gloss in sequence. Draggable, resizable, always on top.

Two signing modes

2D Skeleton

Lightweight stick-figure animation using MediaPipe pose landmarks. Runs in browser Canvas with minimal resources.

3D Avatar

Full 3D Mixamo avatar driven by pose landmarks via Three.js. More expressive with finger-level detail.

Desktop Beta

BSL signing
beyond the browser

The desktop app signs what your whole computer is saying, not just your browser tabs. It reads Windows Live Captions, or listens directly on a Mac, so it works with video calls and desktop apps.

macOS 13 or newer, Apple silicon and Intel · unsigned, so right-click the app and choose Open the first time
Both free. Windows is on 0.3.8; the Mac build is still 0.3.7 and does not yet carry the 3D avatar fix, because it has to be rebuilt on a Mac.
